Golf Teaching Programme (CGTF Certification)

Playing well does not always mean teaching well. This programme helps coaches turn personal experience into structured teaching practice, following the standards of the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation (CGTF).

Personal skill is not the same as professional teaching

Personal skill

  • Hits the ball well and has a competitive record.
  • Understands their own feel and habits.
  • Teaches from instinct and experience.

Professional teaching (Proper Golf Instruction)

  • Detects and corrects each student's faults on a sound basis.
  • Explains clearly and plans lessons around SMART objectives.
  • Understands ball-flight laws and uses technology to teach.
